We’re “keeping the climate cool” in East Texas and beyond

Climate Justice Texas is a 501c3 and 501c4 nonprofit organization founded by passionate young women of color to create the spaces for our East Texas community to have conversations about our environment, the unique challenges that we face, and how to better our region ecologically and culturally for generations to come.

Our approach, as the only grassroots, youth-focused environmental organizing and power-building group on the frontlines of Southeast Texas’s infamous “petrochemical alley” and its intersection with the Big Thicket of East Texas.

Our Vision

We envision a world where native plants and animals flourish; where all communities have access to clean air, land, and water; where manmade global warming has been reduced to pre-industrial levels; and where the legal frameworks for environmental stewardship are returned to the people who inhabit these spaces.

  • Funds raised go to developing our programs and campaigns, marketing and outreach, & staff and volunteer engagement. If you have a specific request for your donation — please send us an email and we will be happy to do our best to accommodate your wishes!

  • While our work is inclusive and across the political aisles (and non-political aisles), we use ActBlue because our friendly community organizations advocate for it and because it is the best and most comprehensive tool out there at the moment for 501c4s.
